Pups born 24 April 2010 *2 males 3 females* Champion Jayhawkers Amazing Grace FDJ and AFTCH/FTCH BISS Champion Reddiamond Tendayi Downunder FD
Pedigree
We decided to repeat the breeding with Tyler and Grace as we were so pleased with the resulting litter last year with these two outstanding Brittanys. Tyler is a Canadian National Best in Specialty Show winner and top Brittany in the field. Tyler is a very gentle and quiet dog, we have been extremely impressed with his personality, temperament and work ethic. Previous pups from this pairing are already making a mark in the field and show ring. See 2009 pups for photos.

Introducing the Island Bird LItter
As soon as the first male was born we could see the marking of a goose in flight and just had to go with the theme.... The pups are nicely marked and are all thriving. Grace is being an excellent mother as usual and we have started Bio sensor exercises (also called the superdog program) for those ultra smart and confident puppies!!

The Second Week First nail trim started off the week and Bio Sensor exercises continued. Mid week the pups began to crawl/walk out of the nest to the paper on their own and by the end of the week they are almost running to get off the bed and to the paper. Personalities are emerging and pups are just starting to interact by mouthing each other and attempts at play. Eyes are just opening and although still very wobbly they are walking now.

The Third Week Pups are getting interested in small toys and seem to recognize voices. They have gone from wobbly to full out running and wag their little tails when they see us.

The Fourth Week
Pups were moved from the whelping room to the heart of the living room this week and they are much more entertaining than TV! They have started pounce and play games, carry about toys, run to our voices, bark at random things and learn something new each time they wake up.

Although it is still the fourth week there has been so much activity I decide to add a few more photos here. The first meal was a hit this week and the puppymania is in full swing!

Week 5
This week we added crates to the pup area which they took to immediately and love to sleep in. They had their first playtime outside also on the covered patio, too rainy for the grass but they sure had a blast chasing each other around the deck. They moved this week from the living room to the laundry room so they could have access to the patio and back yard.
